ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday disqualified PTI leader Jamshed Dasti, Member of the National Assembly (MNA), over fake educational degrees.

The decision came following the election commission’s approval of two petitions seeking Dasti’s disqualification. The petition was filed by the National Assembly speaker, Ayaz Sadiq.

The electoral body, after a detailed examination, declared the degrees to be fake and upheld both pleas.
