LAHORE: Eid-ul-Adha is now just around the corner, and Muslims are eagerly waiting to celebrate the Festival of Sacrifice.

Eid prayers are still one of the most important parts of this day, with many congregations being scheduled for the provincial capital.

Religious Affairs Department finalized arrangements for Bakra Eid congregational prayers at major shrines and mosques in the region, especially in Lahore.

The step is part of efforts to provide smooth, secure, and well-coordinated prayer services to thousands of citizens who are likely to visit early morning prayers on the day of Eid.

During most prominent venues, the historic Badshahi Mosque will organize its Eid prayer at 8:30 AM, while Jamia Masjid Darbar Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh will organize its congregation at 7:00 AM with Mufti Ramzan Sialvi leading the congregants.

A total of more than 20 big mosques in Lahore will have Eid congregations with facilities to accommodate huge numbers of worshippers.

Punjab government also made arrangements for strict security and to keep the public in order. Sanitation operations have been increased around mosque premises to provide hygienic conditions to the public as well.

Large crowds have been asked to arrive at their respective places of worship well in advance of time, adopt security measures, and join hands with volunteers and officials assigned for crowd management and support.
