Banks to remain closed for 3-day next week

ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that it will be closed from 10 to 12 April 2024 (Wednesday to Friday) due to public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Earlier in the day, the Cabinet Division issued a notification announcing three-day and four-day holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr, catering to offices with different working schedules.

According to a notification, after the five-day work week, the offices will be closed from Wednesday to Friday. Holidays for six-day working offices have been extended from Wednesday to Saturday.

Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will also remain closed for five days next week i.e. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
