RAWALPINDI: At least eight Khwarij terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in the general area Razmak, North Waziristan District, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the reported presence of terrorists, security forces conducted IBO on the night of September 25 and 26.
During the conduct of the operation, an intense fire exchange took place between the own troops and Khwarij, as a result of which, eight Khwarij [terrorists] were sent to hell, the ISPR statement read.
The statement further added that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians.
“Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as security forces are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country,” it added.
