Exams scheduled for April 18, 19, 20 postponed in Chitral

CHITRAL: The Education Department has canceled the matriculation board examination papers to be held on April 18, 19, and 20 due to recent rains in Chitral.

This decision was taken in the meeting of the heads of the education board under the chairmanship of Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarkai.

The cancelled papers will be rescheduled as per the new schedule. The provincial minister said that there was no problem with rain or floods in other districts of the province.

He said that all the boards have deployed examination staff on time, and the papers have also been sent to the designated banks. The provincial minister further said that security and all other arrangements have been completed for the examinations. “We have full cooperation from the district administration and police.

He said that monitoring of examination centers across the province was being done through control rooms. Hotline numbers and information desks have been set up in the education department for questions related to examinations. The minister stressed that he would prevent cheating and conduct transparent examinations.

Immediate action will be taken against those responsible for leaking the examination papers. All examinations are being conducted on merit to ensure transparency. “My team, along with the secretariat, will monitor the examination centers,” he said. He also informed me that CCTV monitoring of examination centers is going on and all arrangements are complete.
