Federal govt announces public holidays on Muharram 9, 10 [Ashura 2024]

ISLAMABAD – The federal government has announced a two-day public holiday on July 16 and 17 to mark 9th and 10th Muharram, respectively.

A notification issued by the Cabinet Division stated, “the Prime Minister has been pleased to declare 16 and 17 July 2024 (Tuesday & Wednesday) as public holidays on the occasion of Ashura (9th & 10th Moharram 1446 AH).
