QUETTA: Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir has said that Pakistan has solid evidence of India’s involvement in terrorism in Balochistan province and that India is supporting terrorist networks, however, he made it clear that the army will not allow the enemy to succeed in its mission.

Addressing a grand jirga of tribal elders along with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif at the Zehri Auditorium in Quetta, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that India’s sponsored proxy war is no longer a secret.

He said that “India is openly committing terrorism against our people, the peace and development of Pakistan.”

The Field Marshal said that the nefarious efforts of the enemy will fail. He said that the Pakistani army, with the unwavering support of the nation and the brave Baloch people, will confront any enemy who dares to challenge our sovereignty, whether internal or external.

The Field Marshal further said that the Pakistan Army is fully alert and ready to give a decisive response to any threat. He clearly stated that “Peace in Balochistan is unconditional and the future of Pakistan is linked to a stable, prosperous Balochistan”.

The Prime Minister and the Field Marshal appreciated the courage and sacrifices of the security forces and law enforcement agencies serving in Balochistan. The Prime Minister assured the families of the martyrs of full cooperation and support and said that terrorists, their facilitators and aides will not be spared.

The jirga concluded with a unanimous resolve of the tribal elders that they stand by the government and the armed forces and remain committed to the peace, stability and development of Balochistan.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also visited the Command and Staff College in Quetta and addressed the students, officers and faculty members.

In his address, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of professionalism, operational preparedness, and strategic foresight, especially in sensitive areas like Balochistan, where Indian-backed terrorist groups are trying to target our nation and hinder progress.

The Prime Minister said that proxies operating under the auspices of India have intensified their efforts to undermine peace, development initiatives, and stability in Balochistan.

The Prime Minister said that terrorist groups like “Fitna-ul-Hindistan” are trying to gain support from the local population, which must be stopped at all costs. The Prime Minister, while appreciating the leadership and constructive role of tribal elders, said that terrorists should not be given any social space in the public sphere as this is essential for the eradication of terrorism and lasting peace and stability.

The Prime Minister said that enemies of peace will have no place in Pakistan. He gave a clear message that “the government, armed forces, law enforcement agencies and administrative system, with the full cooperation of the people, will take this war to its logical conclusion and defeat terrorism decisively.”

The Prime Minister, while highlighting the development projects launched for the prosperity of Balochistan, emphasized that the fruits of these initiatives should reach the people at the grassroots level. He appreciated their historic role in the national unity of the people of Balochistan and urged them to be vigilant against the destructive activities carried out under the auspices of India.
