LAHORE: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s possible meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail are mere speculations.

During a media interaction at Dataa Darbar in Lahore, Ishaq Dar said that this meeting may be someone’s desire, but we do not need to go to anyone.

The Foreign Minister also denied the reports of the Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP) asking for ministries and said that the PPP has not talked about taking ministries.

The PPP is and will remain an ally of the government. The PPP supported it in difficult times, and that is why it will not leave it in good times; however, now the government has a simple majority.

Ishaq Dar further said that the government is ready to work with all political parties, whether they are part of the government or in the opposition.

He said that at the time of the attack on Pakistan, the difference between the government and the opposition party had disappeared.

It was an exemplary experience, but this does not mean that the constitution and law should be put aside.

The Foreign Minister further said that when Pakistan was attacked, the government engaged all parties and the world saw the result in the form of a united Pakistani voice.

He said that as far as the law and the constitution are concerned, it will be fully implemented.

If there is corruption somewhere, it should be exposed, and wherever there is corruption, the law should come into action to eliminate it.
