Four FC troops martyred in Karak ambush

KARAK: At least four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred in an attack by the militants, according to police Officials.

The gunmen ambush the FC vehicle in the  Gurguri police station limits, located in the Amankot Toway area of Karak district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The terrorists were already stationed on a hill when they opened fire at the FC personnel coming from field duty.

The attack proved fatal, resulting in the martyrdom of all four sons of the soil.

The martyrs, according to initial reports, belonged to Lakki Marwat and Tank districts. Their bodies have been shifted to a nearby medical facility while families have been informed.

District Police Officer (DPO) Karak Shahbaz Elahi, while talking to the media, said that the area has been cordoned off and a search operation is being carried out to find the culprits.

“To prevent the terrorists from escaping, all internal and external routes of the area have been sealed,” the DPO confirms.
