RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed four Indian-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar district of Balochistan.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operation was carried out on September 17 following information about the presence of terrorists.

It said that the security forces effectively located the terrorists and neutralized four Indian-sponsored terrorists after a fierce exchange of fire.

It said that arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, who were active in several terrorist activities in the area.

The ISPR said that a sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eradicate the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country, and reiterate the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice.

A day earlier, the ISPR had said that security forces had killed five Indian-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar.

Earlier this month, thirty-five terrorists were killed by security forces in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to the ISPR, an intelligence-based operation was conducted by security forces in Bajaur district. During the operation, the troops effectively targeted the Khawarij location, and after a fierce exchange of fire, twenty-two Indian-sponsored Khawarij were killed.

In another encounter in the South Waziristan district, security forces neutralized thirteen more Khawarij.

However, in the fierce exchange of fire, twelve brave sons of the soil fought bravely and made the ultimate sacrifice and were martyred.
