LAHORE: In an incident at Government College University Lahore, a female student reportedly confronted and physically assaulted an assistant professor over allegations of sexual harassment.
The university, known for its academic standing, found itself in a negative spotlight due to the incident. A video circulating online captured the student pulling the accused’s hair and striking him with punches and slaps, with other students seemingly joining in.
The university administration promptly acknowledged the seriousness of the matter and launched an investigation. The Vice Chancellor of GCU has ordered an inquiry committee to investigate the incident further.
