Govt to make CNICs’ issuance, renewal available at UC level

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the facility for the issuance and renewal of identity cards will be made available at the Union Council level across Pakistan.

Today, when visiting the NADRA headquarters in Islamabad, he gave the order to complete a strategy in this regard as soon as possible.

He added that the Union Council level will also have biometric equipment installed.

The interior minister also looked for a way to improve the ID card system so that it would be more efficient, reliable, and expedited.

He mentioned the challenges individuals experience and his visits to NADRA facilities when he remarked that a plan should be created to make visiting NADRA centers easier.

Increased NADRA centers are to be found in six major cities: Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. This directive comes from the Interior Minister.

Mohsin Naqvi issued instructions for taking decisive action to dismantle the mafia of phony identity cards.

The NADRA centers’ digital monitoring system was explained to the Interior Minister during his visit to the NADRA operational room.
