ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership has said that PTI founder Imran Khan revealed that an offer was made through Ali Amin Gandapur and Barrister Gohar, suggesting that if the protests were postponed, everything would be resolved.

As per the details, during a meeting with the PTI leadership at Adiala Jail, Imran Khan shared that the offer for the release of undertrial prisoners as a sign of seriousness for the talks was also included. However, he noted that this demand, which could have been met immediately, was ignored, indicating that it was merely aimed at stopping the protest.

According to PTI, Imran Khan added that he is facing a barrage of cases in jail, reflecting the “banana republic” approach. Despite the High Court granting bail, pre-arranged decisions ensure his continued detention. He warned that relief will become impossible once the 26th Constitutional Amendment is fully implemented.

Imran Khan also remarked that the government’s intentions are now clear, and that protests will continue along with the talks. He expressed doubts about his release before November 24 and called for the release of prisoners held by the PTI, urging them to show seriousness in the talks.

The PTI leadership, citing Imran Khan, stressed that political parties never close the door to talks, but refrained from naming those involved in the talks.
