ISLAMABAD: The Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit Pakistan on Tuesday, according to the Iranian state news agency.
According to Habibollah Abbasi, director of the public relations department of the Iranian president’s office, the purpose of the visit is to appreciate Pakistan’s efforts for US-Iran mediation and to thank Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
It should be noted that this visit is taking place at a time when talks between Iran and the US began in Switzerland yesterday, mediated by Pakistan and Qatar.
