Islamabad International airport to facilitate passengers with mental illness

ISLAMABAD: In a groundbreaking move, the Islamabad International Airport has introduced the first-ever Pakistani airport to facilitate people with invisible disabilities. The airport will now offer special facilities to passengers with mental illnesses.

People with invisible disabilities will get special sunflower ribbons from Islamabad International Airport, according to airport manager Aftab Gilani. At every counter, passengers with sunflower landyard will receive special treatment.

Better accommodations for kids with autism and other mental illnesses are the facility’s goal. According to Gilani, the unique facility has been communicated to all airlines.
