As per the details, PMD forecast a shallow westerly wave will likely affect the upper parts of Pakistan from today’s evening and night.

Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in the twin cities and at isolated places in the Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Kashmir on Tuesday evening/night and the following two days.

Intermittent rains and gusty/dust-raising winds will likely help decrease the intensity of the prevailing heatwave this week.
