Free ‘Pink Bus Service’ launched for female students, teachers in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has announced a pink bus service for female students and teachers in Islamabad.

Following the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Education Ministry said that the dedicated pink buses would be available from August 7, Wednesday.

According to the details, these pink buses will operate on all major routes, connecting rural areas to urban centers of the federal capital, making it easier and safer for them to commute.

The Ministry said that this project would ensure free, safe, and convenient transportation for female students and teachers.

“This project will reduce travel time and increase accessibility. It will also encourage girls’ education and women’s empowerment,” the statement read.
