ISLAMABAD: A huge fire broke out in Islamabad’s Sunday Bazaar (Itwar Bazaar) on Wednesday morning, located at Peshawar Mor in the H-9 Sector.
According to details, fire brigades of CDA, Rescue 1122, and other military and civilian departments are trying to douse the fire, which seems to be getting out of control.
Islamabad District Administration has sought more fire brigade vehicles from other departments for help in the fire extinguishing operation.
According to initial reports, the fire blazed in a clothing store at the itwar bazaar in the H-9 sector which spread to other shops swiftly. So far, multiple shops have been gutted and the extent of the damage is unknown.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi took notice of the fire incident in Islamabad’s Sunday Bazaar. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa reached the spot on the instructions of Mohsin Naqvi.
The Interior Minister directed concerned departments to use all resources to douse the fire. Mohsin Naqvi called for a detailed report from Chief Commissioner Islamabad Randhawa and ordered an inquiry into the fire incident.
