ISLAMABAD: The body of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officer Waqas Ahmed was found in a guesthouse in Islamabad’s G-6/4 sector, here on Sunday.
According to police sources, the officer’s room was forcibly opened when he did not respond. His body was recovered and sent to a hospital for postmortem.
Waqas Ahmed was staying in a guesthouse located within the limits of Aabpara police station. Officials say the cause of death will be known after the postmortem report comes.
So far, the officer’s family has not filed any formal application for legal action. Investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death.
