Over Rs48 million in traffic fines collected from Islamabad in ongoing year

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has released data since January 1, 2024, saying that the traffic police has issued a total of 577,836 challans for traffic violations in the federal capital.

The data also involved details regarding the fines imposed, and FIRs registered for traffic violations.

According to the ITP data, over Rs48 million in fines were imposed for traffic rule violations, and over 951 FIRs were registered at various police stations for serious traffic offenses.

Similarly, Rawalpindi Traffic Police has released data for a special campaign focused on public service vehicles, conducted from August 25, 2024, to September 12, 2024.

During the campaign, the Garrison city policy issued 3,803 challans for traffic violations.

Furthermore, over Rs4.1 million in fines were imposed for traffic rule violations Since August 25, while over 35 FIRs were registered at various police stations in Rawalpindi.

This campaign aimed to improve road safety and ensure compliance with traffic regulations by public service vehicles in Rawalpindi.
