Karachi weather forecast: PMD predicts rain from August 25-29

KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain from August 25 to 29 in Karachi and other districts of Sindh under the influence of low pressure in West Bengal.

According to the weather report, Monsoon current is likely to enter Karachi and other districts of Sindh from the coming days.

PMD said that heavy rains are expected from this weather system and the weather in Karachi will remain hot and cloudy for the next three days.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department says that the temperature in Karachi may reach 36 degrees Celsius.

In other districts of Sindh, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin and other areas are likely to receive wind and thundershowers today.

WAPDA sources said that the water level in Hub Dam has increased significantly due to recent monsoon rains in Sindh and Balochistan.

After heavy rains, the water level in the Hub Dam has crossed 335.5 feet, the dam has a capacity of 339 feet.

The reason for the increase in the water level is heavy rains in the hilly areas of Khuzdar district of Balochistan and the catchment areas of the dam.
