19 officers suspended over alleged misconduct in Karachi: Here’s why!

KARACHI: DIG South Zone Syed Asad Raza has taken a major action and suspended 19 police personnel.

According to sources, police officers posted in Kemari district were found involved in illegal activities, after which immediate action was taken under the anti-corruption and anti-smuggling drive.

The suspended personnel include ASIs, head constables and constables of various police stations. According to officials, a formal investigation has been initiated against all the personnel and they have been immediately suspended and transferred to the Suspended Man Company, Garden Headquarters.

According to the notification, the suspended personnel will be subject to daily roll call and parade, while they will also be paid salaries as per the rules until the investigation is completed.

The orders issued under the signature of DIG South Zone have also directed the concerned officers to submit an immediate report and ensure implementation.
