Tragic accident in Karachi: Couple killed in iftar-time collision

KARACHI: The deadly chaos continues on the roads of Karachi, with another tragic accident at iftar time claiming the lives of a motorcyclist couple.

According to reports, a speeding car hit a couple on a motorcycle near Faisal Base on Shahra-e-Faisal.

The motorcycle was completely destroyed in the collision and both the riders died on the spot. The driver tried to flee by abandoning the vehicle, but sources say that before he could be handed over to the police, he was caught by the public and beaten up.

Angry citizens tried to damage the vehicle and set it on fire, but the police arrived in time and dispersed the crowd.

The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital for legal action.
