PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly passed a resolution to release Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.
Presenting the agreement, PTI leader Mushtaq Ghani demanded their immediate release, saying they have been detained illegally.
The agreement also calls for the public release of CCTV footage of the May 9 incident and a judicial inquiry.
KP government members approved the deal while opposition members opposed it citing procedural irregularities.

Leader of Opposition in KP Assembly Ibadullah objected to convening the meeting without the Governor’s approval and termed the action as unconstitutional.
After the proceedings were completed, the speaker adjourned the meeting till Monday afternoon.
