KP, Peshawar weather forecast: NDMA issues flood, landslide alert in KP

PESHAWAR: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a flood and landslide alert in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), here on Friday.

As per the details, NDMA spokesperson, the alert has been issued as heavy rain is expected in various districts including Charsadda, Chitral, Mansehra, Peshawar, Shangla and Swat.

The NDMA has warned of possible floods, landslides and landslides in hilly areas, posing a significant threat to life and property.

The authority has directed emergency services to remain alert and ensure availability of necessary equipment, machinery and rescue resources to deal with any emergency.

The NDMA has advised the public to avoid crossing flooded rivers and entering waterlogged areas, urging them to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.

It is worth mentioning here that Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and other areas of Punjab received heavy rain with strong winds.

Heavy rain broke the heat in many areas including Shadman, Gulbarg, Model Town, Jail Road, Ichhra in Lahore.

Heavy rains also occurred in Gujarat and its surrounding areas. There was heavy rain in Kanganpur and nearby areas of Kasur.

Rain is also reported in Azad Kamshir on Friday. There was heavy rain in the areas including Dadyal, Chakswari, Islamgarh, Kada Sharif, Jatlan, Mangala.
