Man rapes girl visiting his mobile repair shop in Shakargarh

NAROWAL: In Shakargarh area, the shopkeeper allegedly raped a girl who came to fix her mobile phone.

Police said that the accused also made a video and extorted money from the victim for four months by threatening to share it on social media.

The victim stole 24 tolas of gold and cash from her house to stop the accused from making the video viral.

Police said that a case has been registered against the shopkeeper on the complaint lodged by the shopkeeper. An investigation into the matter has also been started.

Earlier this month, a woman in Punjab’s Bhakkar was allegedly raped after a snitch called her to return her mobile phone.

The incident took place in the city’s Nazir Town, police said, adding that the victim has been shifted to a hospital for medical examination.

Police say that raids are being conducted to arrest another accused.

The victim told the police that the accused first molested her at DHQ Hospital and later took away her mobile phone. She said that the accused returned the mobile phone to her
