RAWALPINDI: In view of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest at Liaquat Bagh on Saturday, September 28, the district administration has suspended the Metro Bus Service (MBS) in Rawalpindi.
The service from Sadar station to IJP Road has been suspended. However, metro bus service will continue in Islamabad.
The Punjab government has also imposed Section 144 in Rawalpindi as the PTI has called for a peaceful protest in the city on Saturday.
Section 144 has been implemented for two days, which will be applied on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29.
Rangers have also been deployed to ensure law and order. The notification of their appointment has been sent to the federal government.
