MQM-P MNA Rana Ansar’s son dies in Karachi road accident

KARACHI: Tragedy struck the family of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) MNA Rana Ansar yesterday morning when her youngest son, Shahzaib Naqvi, died in a road accident in Karachi.

Son of MQM lawmaker, late senior journalist Syed Ansar Ali Naqvi, Shahzaib, 35, was driving the car when it collided with the footpath near Clifton Underpass, resulting in a fatal head injury. His friend, Muhammad Ilyas, 30, was injured in the accident and is currently receiving treatment.

According to police, overspeeding was the cause of the accident. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Clifton police station, and SHO Clifton Azam Rajper reported that Shahzaib resided on Rashid Minhas Road.

Following the accident, the bodies of the deceased and injured were immediately transported to Jinnah Hospital. After completing legal formalities, the police handed over Shahzaib’s body to his family.

The family has announced that his funeral prayers will be held today after Isha’s prayers.

This tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the community, and condolences are pouring in for MNA Rana Ansar and her family.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic death of the son of Member of the National Assembly Begum Rana Ansar in an accident.

In their condolence messages, they extended sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for the elevation of the departed soul’s ranks.

In addition, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has expressed heartfelt condolences over the tragic death of MNA Rana Ansar’s son in a road accident.

The leaders, party members, and general public extended sympathies to the bereaved family, praying for the departed soul’s elevation and granting patience to Rana Ansar and her family during this difficult time.
