ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that the succession certificate will now be available at any centre across the country.

The Succession Certificate (a legal document required for transferring the assets of deceased family members) was only available at limited centers before the new announcement.

The NADRA has requested the citizens to submit the required documents to obtain the certificate.

Previously, only the province where the inherited property was located required applicants to apply for a succession certificate. For heirs living in other provinces, this limitation created challenges.

NADRA Successions Certificate Fee–September 2025

  • Rs 20,000 for properties valued more than 1 lac.
  • Rs 10,000 for properties valued less than 1 lac.

Earlier, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab revealed at a function on Friday that NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) counters will soon be set up in all union councils to enhance public access to registration services.

The announcement was made at the inauguration of the newly upgraded NADRA registration centre at Babar Market in Landhi.

Mayor Wahab also said that an immediate feasibility study will be conducted for the construction of a new NADRA centre at Kakri Ground in Lyari. In addition, large-scale “mega centres” are currently under construction in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulberg, and Surjani Town.

The modern Landhi centre now has seven single-window counters, up from four, to speed up processing. It now has a capacity of 120 people and includes separate toilets for men and women, wheelchair access and drinking water facilities.
