ISLAMABAD: In a joint operation conducted by Islamabad’s district administration and local police, nine Sheesha cafes were sealed, and 64 individuals, including 60 men and four women, were arrested during late-night raids on Sunday.
Out of the nine cafes, three cafes were located in Bharia Town Islamabad. With the Raids, Police also confiscated 110 hubble bubbles along with flavors. The police registered a case against the arrested persons and also initiated an investigation.
This event is part of a large campaign and crackdown to enforce laws and regulations in the capital.
A similar operation was conducted in Lahore in February 2025, where police arrested 24 people, including five women, during a raid on Sheesha party in the Ghalib Market area.
Superintendent of Police Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar stated that the police team recovered four smoking sheeshas, three sheesha flavors, and a music sound system, indicating that those arrested were holding a sheesha party.
The Lahore police were directed to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against crimes, dealing with anyone involved in criminal activities according to the law.
