NSC to make important decisions following Indian cowardly attacks

ISLAMABAD: The National Security Committee  (NSC) meeting, which began on Wednesday at PM House in Islamabad and is chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, will make important decisions, according to media reports.

The NSC meeting was called due to the situation at the border following India’s late-night actions. The NSC meeting includes federal ministers, leaders of the three military forces, and the National Security Advisor.

The committee will be briefed on the present situation, including the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India. The Indian attack, the Pakistan Army’s overwhelming response, and the next course of action will all be debated.

Ataullah Tarar, the Federal Information Minister, stated that this meeting was necessary to devise a strategy for responding to India on the same coin.

PM Shehbaz will address the nation following the meeting.

Earlier, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) reversed its earlier 48-hour NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) on the temporary closure of Pakistani airspace, allowing regular aircraft operations over key cities such as Lahore and Karachi.

According to a new NOTAM issued by the CAA, the prior restriction on airspace access has been revoked, allowing both domestic and foreign aircraft to continue operations along previously impacted air routes.

The development comes at a time of heightened regional tensions, causing officials to take preventive measures. However, the CAA underlined that individual airlines make the final choice on flight schedules and routing.
