One martyred, three injured in FC check post drone attack in Bannu

BANNU: At least one FC soldier was martyred and three others were injured in a quadcopter drone attack on the FC check post in Bannu.

According to DPO Bannu Saleem Abbas, a quadcopter drone attack was carried out on an FC check post located in the Takhtikhel area of Baka Khel, in which one officer was martyred, and the three injured officers were shifted to the hospital.

The DPO said that after the incident, the Frontier Corps and the police have launched a search operation in the area.

It should be noted that in Bannu, several police stations, including Hoveed and Miryan, have been attacked with quadcopters in recent times. Last week, the police also foiled the attack and killed three terrorists.

Earlier, At least two people were killed and 14 people, including police personnel, were injured in an explosion near a police mobile in Wana, South Waziristan.

DSP Imranullah said that a remote-controlled bomb exploded near a police mobile in the central Wana Rustam Bazaar of South Waziristan.

According to officials, two people were killed in the explosion while 14 people, including police personnel, were injured. The explosion also damaged a police mobile.

The DSP said that the bodies and the injured have been shifted to DHQ Wana, and an emergency has been imposed in the hospital.
