Pakistan Army wins gold at UK’s Cambrian Patrol military competition

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Army’s team won a gold medal at Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2025, held in Wales, United Kingdom, from October 3-13, the military’s media wing said in a statement.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), patrols from all across the globe moved tactically across inhospitable terrain, covering a distance of 60 km within 48 hours, while completing specialist tasks in a contested environment.

“This year, 137 teams from 36 Countries participated in the exercise, and out of all these teams, Pakistan Army’s team, led by Captain Muhammad Saad, showed Exceptional Performance in the exercise and was awarded the Gold Medal,” it said.

It is indeed a proud moment for the whole Nation and the Pakistan Army, which is known for its professionalism and highest standards of training, the statement added.

“Pakistan Army has always held the Country’s flag high and will keep endeavouring in the future as well.”

Exercise Cambrian Patrol, organized by the British Army, has been held annually since 1959 and is often described as “the Olympic Games of military patrolling,” drawing participation from NATO and non-NATO forces worldwide.

Pakistan has regularly participated and earned top honors in past editions, reflecting the country’s strong emphasis on operational readiness and professional military training.
