Pakistan, KSA & Turkiye forge stronger ties in defence collaboration

Three sides reiterate intent to increase scope of cooperation.

In a landmark development, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye have initiated discussions on potential collaboration in defense equipment technologies, emphasizing research and development (R&D), as announced by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During the second meeting of the Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye Trilateral Defence Collaboration at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, the three nations expressed their commitment to leveraging intellectual, technical, financial, and human resources to achieve shared objectives and enhance self-sufficiency in the defense domain.

Recognizing the deep-rooted brotherly relations among the three countries, the participants reaffirmed their strategic intent to broaden the scope of trilateral cooperation. They emphasized the need to accelerate collaboration in pursuit of common goals, signaling a new era of partnership in defense technology.

The ISPR revealed that the next meeting on Trilateral Defence Industrial Collaboration is scheduled to take place during the World Defence Show in Riyadh in February. This decision underlines the tangible progress made in fostering a robust alliance among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye in the realm of defense.

Simultaneously, the third meeting of the Pakistan-KSA Defence Collaboration held at GHQ in Rawalpindi further underscored the historical ties between the two brotherly nations. Discussions focused on bilateral interests and the evolving security environment, with a keen emphasis on the rapid advancements in military technologies.
