ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is observing a day of national mourning on Tuesday to express fraternal solidarity with the Government and the people of Iran, on the sad demise of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and other dignitaries in the helicopter crash incident.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared today as the day of national mourning and for that the National flag will fly at half-mast throughout the country.
On behalf of Government and the people of Pakistan, provincial governemnts have also annouced Tuesday as moruing to show solidertiy with Iranian perople.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and seven other found dead after their helicopter crashed on Monday in a foggy, mountainous region of the country’s northwest, state media reported.

A funeral procession for Iran’s President Raisi will be held in the northwestern city of Tabriz on Tuesday (today), before transferring the body to Tehran, IRNA reported.
The director of a local office of Iran’s Islamic Propagation Organization in Tabriz Hojjatoleslam Mahmoud Hosseini said the bodies of Raisi and his colleagues are being kept in Tabriz cemetery on Monday night.
Hosseini told IRNA’s correspondent on Monday that a funeral procession will be held on Tuesday during which the people of Tabriz will bid farewell to the president and carry his body to the Tabriz airport.
