ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that he did not speak of starting a war, but the threat remains. If war is imposed on us, we will give a befitting reply.

Khawaja Asif said that his interview remarks were being misinterpreted. He explained that during the interview he was asked a question about the war and said that the next two to three days are crucial.

He added that there was no response from India regarding the investigation and there is no truth in India’s allegations. He added that there was no response from Pakistan to its call for an impartial investigation.

Khawaja Asif stressed that both countries have troops deployed on their borders and Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend every inch of the country.
