Pakistan stands in solidarity after deadly terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned the cowardly attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries‘ (TUSAS) facilities in Ankara, Turkey, which resulted in multiple casualties.

In a press release, the Foreign Office Spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The attack occurred on Wednesday at the TUSAS headquarters outside Ankara, where witnesses reported hearing a shooting and an explosion.

Authorities described the incident as a terrorist attack that left four people dead and fourteen injured, with three of the injured are in serious condition. Two attackers were killed in the incident, according to Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

In addition, The Government of Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for Turkey’s efforts to combat terrorism and stood in solidarity with the Turkish people. Pakistan’s leaders expressed confidence that the brave Turkish nation will defeat the menace of terrorism with its characteristic grit and determination.

”We are confident that the brave Turkish nation, with its characteristic grit and determination, will defeat the menace of terrorism”, the FO press release added.

TV footage showed armed attackers breaking into the TUSAS facility, and two terrorists were neutralized in the attack. Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed that three people were martyred and fourteen wounded in the incident.

Pakistan’s condemnation of the attack was swift, with the government reiterating its commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms. The country’s leaders emphasized their solidarity with Turkey and offered condolences to the bereaved families.
