Pakistan to observe Youm-e-Tashakur tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Following Pakistan’s victory against Indian aggression, Pakistan will observe Youm-e-Tashakur across the country on Friday, according to Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar. 

The Mosques across the country will hold special prayers and recitation of the Holy Quran. A 31-gun salute will be presented in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in the provincial capitals.

The mausoleums of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal will witness the change of guard ceremony, while flag hoisting ceremonies will also be held in the federal and provincial capitals.

Floral wreaths will be laid at Yadgaar-Shuhada. Families of the martyrs of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos will be visited to pay homage to the martyrs.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will honor the main ceremony as chief guest with the Chief of Army Staff and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee to grace the occasion as well.

The main ceremony of the Day will be held at the Pakistan Monument, Islamabad on Friday night.
