KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will start its Hajj flights from May 09 and will continue till June 10, 2024 here on Saturdays.
According to the spokesperson, PIA will operate direct flights to Jeddah and Madinah from 8 cities of Pakistan this year, including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Quetta, Sialkot and Sukkur.
Announcing the Haj flight operation, PIA spokesperson asserted that the national airline would facilitate around 34,000 Haj pilgrims through 170 flights from May 09 to June 10, 2024.
A spokesperson of the national airline confirmed that a total of 19,000 government scheme and 15,000 private pilgrims will travel through PIA.
However, pilgrims traveling exclusively from Karachi or Islamabad can avail the Saudi immigration facility at the airport under the operations of the Road to Makkah project, which will relieve the hassle of long queues for immigration at Jeddah or Madinah.

PIA has also issued a guidebook for Hajj awareness, which contains detailed instructions on how to use Nasq application and other necessary instructions.
The spokesman added that pilgrims must register their mobile number while booking their tickets so that they can get timely information about their flights.
