LAHORE: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Lahore Airport to Dubai narrowly escaped an accident as it took off, here on Tuesday.
A bird hit the plane during takeoff and the pilot immediately contacted the control tower to report the incident.
After clearing the runway on priority basis, the pilot was able to safely land the flight back at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
A team of aviation engineers is inspecting the plane to assess the damage, if any.

Flight PK-150 was diverted to Lahore due to bad weather and fog in Multan.
However, the pilot made a serious mistake while landing in Lahore as he landed the plane on the wrong runway despite the control tower having cleared the main runway for landing.
After the incident, the administration took notice of the pilot’s negligence and grounded him for investigation.
