PM Laptop Scheme 2024: Details on how to apply and eligibility criteria

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, has decided to restart the PM laptop scheme. In this regard, the govt. has issued instructions to HEC for the purchase of laptops, and as soon as HEC completes the purchase of laptops, registration will be formally started.

How to apply for PM Laptop Scheme Phase IV

The registration process has not formally started. Because till now, the process of purchasing laptops by HEC has been going on on the instructions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

It is expected that the registration for the laptop scheme will officially begin within the next month. Once it starts, aspiring students from across the country can complete their registration by visiting the official Government of Pakistan website: https://pmyp.gov.pk/.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who are residents of Pakistan.
  • Students who have a Pakistani identity card.
  • Students who are studying in public-sector universities or degree-awarding institutions approved by HEC.
  • Students who are pursuing a PhD, MS, MPhil, or equivalent 18-year program in an institution recognized by HEC.
  • Male and female students enrolled in four-year or five-year bachelor’s degree programs in HEC-approved institutions (whether morning or evening)
  • Students enrolled in MBA Program.

Ineligible

The following Male and female students will not be able to get laptops under this scheme.

  • Students who are residents of any country other than Pakistan.
  • Students who do not have a Pakistani identity card.
  • Students who will not provide the required educational documents for verification.
  • Students who have received laptops under the earlier phases of the laptop scheme.
  • Students who are studying in any government degree, postgraduate colleges, or affiliated colleges.
  • Students who have not submitted an online application to get a laptop.
  • Students who have completed their degree program at the time of the distribution of laptops.
