SHIKARPUR: Station House Officer Sohrab Odho was killed in an exchange of fire between two rival clans in Kacha area of Shikarpur district.
As per the media reports, fierce firing took place between Mehar and Jatoi tribes. When the police personnel tried to intervene and stop the fight, a bullet was fired, resulting in the death of SHO Odhu, who suffered severe head injuries.
After the incident, additional police personnel were dispatched to the Kachha area.
The Mehr Jatoi dispute has reportedly been going on for several days with intermittent firing.
The Home Minister expressed condolences to the family of the slain SHO and paid tribute to their sacrifices in the line of duty while fighting the criminal elements.
The Minister said that SHO Odhu bravely fought the criminals and martyred himself and expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
