Police prevent terrorist attack on Mianwali police station

MIANWALI: Punjab Police foils terrorist attack on Chhapri police station in Mianwali, killing four militants.

According to a statement by the Punjab Police spokesperson, the terrorists launched a surprise attack on Chapri police station, but the police successfully repelled the attack, killing four terrorists.

The statement said that the attack took place at Chapri police station, which is located in Isa Khel Circle near the inter-provincial border with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). More than 20 heavily armed terrorists attacked the station.

The police spokesperson confirmed that there was a heavy exchange of fire, with the terrorists using rocket launchers and hand grenades to target the station. Despite the heavy fire, all police personnel remained safe, with only two personnel suffering minor injuries.

District Police Officer Mianwali Akhtar Farooq and senior police officials reached the spot after the attack.

Punjab IGP Dr Usman Anwar praised the Mianwali police for successfully repelling the attack.

Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that the Punjab Police is vigilant, determined to crush the nefarious plans of terrorists and will continue to bravely confront the elements hostile to peace.
