PTI’s Shah Mehmood hospitalized due to chest pain

LAHORE: Former Foreign Minister and Senior Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been hospitalized due to chest pain in the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) on Saturday morning, according to media reports.

The jail authorities have informed Quershi’s family about his health. Shah is under treatment, and various tests have been done by the medical staff to assess his health condition, according to his lawyer, Rana Muddasir.

According to doctors, Quesrshi is facing shortness of oxygen,n and he is being treated at CCU 3.

The random shift of Shah to the hospital caused panic among the workers.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi is in jail in connection with the May 9 incidents. Last year, he was transferred to Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi after a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) investigated crimes related to terrorism at Adiala.
