BEIJING: In a technological development, the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China’s AI Force Tech during her visit to China.

A Chinese company will possibly set up a manufacturing plant in Punjab to produce robotic agriculture equipment that would be a game-changer in the sector.

Maryam Nawaz witnessed the signing of the MoU and assured her that her government would give full support to the establishment of the robotic plant. She hoped for modern technology to play a vibrant role in the prosperity of the Punjab farmers.

While holding meetings with the AI Force Tech founder, Dr. Han, and the CEO of the company, CM Punjab apprised them of the measures taken by the Punjab government to introduce modern robotic machinery and tools in agriculture.

The development is part of a larger effort to strengthen bilateral ties and identify areas of cooperation on governance, agriculture, technology, and infrastructural improvement.

Maryam Nawaz’s eight-day official visit to China, with stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, is, indeed, a momentous occasion in Pakistan-China relations. As the first-ever Chief Minister of a province from Pakistan to undertake an official visit to China, Maryam Nawaz leads a high-powered delegation aimed at engaging Chinese ministers, officials, and experts alike.

The visit aims to promote improving modern infrastructure and better health systems, education, clean energy endeavors, IT investments, and smog mitigation. Maryam Nawaz wishes to carry Punjab to its economic and financial zenith with the partnership of Beijing, emphasizing Punjab’s commitment to deepening ties with China.
