Punjab govt announces paid internship program

LAHORE: Under the Punjab Fisheries Department, an internship opportunity known as the Punjab Shrimp Internship Program 2026-2027 has been initiated, where 70 internship positions have been created for eligible candidates with a stipend of Rs. 100,000 per month.

The program would last for one year and would focus on providing technical training in shrimp farming.

As per the Punjab Fisheries Department, all selected intern candidates would get training at Shrimp Estate in Chak 58NB, Sargodha.

In addition to the above information, it should be noted that the Punjab Fisheries Department has revealed that the duration of the internship would be for one year. During this time period, each selected candidate would get a monthly stipend of Rs. 100,000.

Those candidates who are interested in the above internship program can apply for it via the Punjab Job Portal; however, it is important to mention here that the deadline for the online application process for the same would be August 7, 2026.

Through this initiative, Punjab Fisheries Department intends to promote shrimp farming along with the development of the aquaculture industry.
