Punjab govt announces ‘Punjab Honahar Merit Scholarship’ for students; Check eligibility here

LAHORE: The Punjab Government has announced special scholarships for college and university students under ‘Punjab Honahar Merit Scholarship’, here on Monday.

As per the details, it will be an opportunity for hardworking students to pursue higher education without financial worries.

The scholarship program will benefit 25,000 students enrolled in government institutions and eight selected private universities. The Chief Minister also directed the authorities to increase the number of scholarships from 4000 to 25000.

CM Maryam Nawaz announced the establishment of new universities across Punjab starting from Jhelum, Wahari and Bahawalnagar districts. The initiative aims to provide higher education opportunities for students in these regions.

Maryam Nawaz also called for greater support to the private sector to expand higher education across the country, ensuring that youth from all regions can access these opportunities.
