Rawalpindi: The Punjab Government has denied the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) a meeting with Imran Khan, citing security concerns. This decision comes in response to recent security threat alerts, leading to temporary restrictions on visits and meetings in Adiala jail.
Earlier, restrictions have been imposed on meetings with Imran Khan at Adiala Jail. According to private TV channels, the Punjab Home Department has decided to restrict meetings with Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, effective for a period of two weeks. The jail administration had reserved Tuesdays and Thursdays for meetings with Imran Khan.
On the other hand, the police have also imposed restrictions on media coverage outside Adiala Jail.
Police has cordoned off the parking area for media vehicles outside gate number 5 of Adiala Jail. The media personnel had been instructed by the police that coverage is not permitted. Media teams were asked to move 2 kilometers away from the jail premises.
