Rain expected in different regions of country; Met Office

ISLAMABAD: Rain is expected in different regions of the country, according to the Met Department and local sources.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a few areas are anticipated to receive rain, offering reprieve from the hot temperatures. Meanwhile, in Islamabad, the weather is expected to be hot and dry throughout the day. Residents should brace themselves for thunderstorms with high winds in the evening.

Central and southern Punjab, northeastern and southern Balochistan, and upper and central Sindh are all expected to get precipitation. This precipitation provides a welcome break from the dry weather and may help alleviate concerns about water scarcity in these areas.

Lahore

The weather in Lahore has seen a drop in the severity of heat, which can be linked to the city’s breezes.

The weather department has reported a decrease in the severity of humidity and warm breezes, as well as a forecast for rain today. The windy conditions in Lahore have caused a substantial drop in temperature.

While this provides some relief to households, load shedding remains a challenge, despite assertions from authorities. Despite having over 70,000 transformers, the replacement of overloaded transformers has not been completed, resulting in eight to ten hours of load shedding.

This lengthy power loss is causing difficulty for residents, particularly during the hot summer months.

Balochistan

In contrast, most regions in Balochistan are expected to stay dry and hot. However, rain is expected in certain areas, including Khuzdar, Qalat, Jhal Magsi, Sibbi, Nasirabad, and Jafarabad, in the coming 24 hours. Rainfall with thunder is also forecast in Usta Muhammad, Dera Bugti, Barkhan, Musakhel, Shirani, Zhob, and the neighboring districts.
