ISLAMABAD: A search operation is still underway for the 5th consecutive day to find the daughter of Colonel (retd)Ishaq Qazi, who drowned in a flash flood in a private housing society.
Special teams are appointed to search for the girl.
According to rescue officials, the first team will search around the 600 meters where the car was submerged and will also continue the operation under the Sawan bridge in phases 4 and 8.
The second team will initiate its operation on the eastern side of phase four, while the third team will search for the girl west of the Swan Bridge on GT Road in Phase 4 of the private housing society.
Earlier, A video of the incident has also emerged in which the father and daughter are helpless inside the car, and the strong flow of water is sweeping away the car.
The person driving the car has been identified as retired Colonel Ishaq Qazi, who was riding in the car with his 25-year-old daughter.
Both father and daughter had gone out in a gray car when the car stopped due to rainwater accumulating on a nearby road. Ishaq Qazi was trying to start the car when the water flow increased.
Due to the increase in the water flow, both father and daughter were swept away in the rain drain.
Sources further said that Colonel retired Ishaq’s car did not have a tracker installed, his daughter was a doctor, and he used to drop his doctor daughter to the gate of the housing society every day.
Colonel retired Ishaq had left home this morning to drop his doctor daughter to the gate. The last location of Colonel Ishaq’s retired mobile was at 8:15 last night from his home.
